Advanced Options
Three advanced options are hidden by default until you click the Show Advanced Options button on the SIMPLIS Options dialog as shown below for the MOSFETs.
To curve fit the forward transfer characteristics, the algorithm draws a straight line based on the model:
- For the MOSFET and JFET, the line goes between two points on the drain current vs. the gate drive voltage curves.
- For the IGBT, the line goes between two points on the collector current vs. the gate drive voltage curves.
The default values and descriptions of these advanced options are listed in the table below.
